The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner: Guidelines for Practice and Education, 8th edition, defines the role of the WHNP, identifies entry level practice competencies, and guides educators in the development of WHNP academic programs. A task force of 31 nationally certified WHNPs participated in the preparation of the 8th edition of these guidelines.
