Effectively Using Telehealth to Address Women’s Midlife Needs (West Coast Virtual Regional Meeting)

This is a virtual webinar. The link to attend will be emailed to participants. The first 10 minutes will be dedicated to a regional meeting consisting of updates from NPWH (followed by the CE). While billed as East and West Coast Regional Meetings, attendees may choose the meeting that is best for them, regardless of location.
The CE is free for NPWH members. Non-members may attend for $125 which includes a one year membership.
Each year, 1.3 million US women enter menopause. In one population-based Australian study by Santoro et al, 86% of women visited a healthcare provider to discuss symptoms at least once. This program will help clinicians address bothersome menopausal symptoms within the context of the telehealth visit.
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify telehealth communication strategies that can be used to enhance patient comfort, engagement, and satisfaction during a virtual health visit
- Discuss strategies to incorporate components of individualized healthcare for women at midlife during a visit telehealth visit focused on menopause symptoms and treatment, including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic options, as well as lifestyle changes
- Address issues of billing and reimbursement specific to a telehealth visit
- Provide strategies to incorporate telehealth into a busy practice setting
