E. Care and Management of the Transgender Patient in the Primary Care Setting

19th Annual NPWH Premier Women's Healthcare Conference

1.25 CE, 1.25 Rx (NCC Code 2C)

This session will cover the basics of managing transgender patients. While many providers want to provide competent care for transgender patients, they lack the language and confidence to do so. We will talk about gender as a construct, how it differs from sexual orientation, and again differs from birth sex. We will cover medical management as well as a general overview of surgical options and outcomes.
