Program Description

This presentation will cover the basic approaches of treating the most common GYN malignancies including the roles of surgery and radiation. We will also discuss the proper follow-up after treatment, including surveillance exams and imaging, as well as long term outcomes and health implications from treatment.

Educational Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe the general approaches to treating the most common GYN malignancies and their prognosis and relapse patterns.
  • Identify the appropriate type of surveillance for survivors including physical exams and imaging.
  • Discuss the long term health implications related to treatment of gynecologic cancers and how to manage them.
