New NPWH Member Survey: Use of Interpreters in Primary Care Clinics
|
As nurse practitioners, many of you have been faced with caring for patients and families requiring clinical interpretation services. These services may include interpretation by trained, professional interpreters, or family and friends who translate for the patient. Unlike inpatient care settings, primary care settings often do not have the resources to provide quality interpretation services. The survey you are being asked to complete will take about 10 minutes of your time and deals with your experiences with patients and family members who require interpretation services. The survey is partially funded by a Sigma Theta Tau International Delta Chi Chapter-at-Large research grant, and is a data collection tool for a study approved by the Washington State University IRB. This research study has been reviewed and is endorsed by NPWH's Research Committee. Thank you for your participation.
